It is eerily terrifying that there is no sound when a heart breaks. Car accidents end with a bang, falling ends with a thud even writing makes the scratching sound of pencil against paper. But the sound of a heart breaking is completely silent. Almost as though no one, not even the universe itself could create a sound for such devastation. Almost as though silence is the only way the universe could pay its respect to the sound of a heart falling apart.

It was exactly like that... bare silence. The indescribable pain of a heart getting frozen, being forced to stop beating, made a prisoner in a small cold cage.

My heart was held in a transparent prison from where could see the world revolve around, could witness being left alone, being abandoned...  

You seemed to just have frozen me and walked away but you did not. You came back, took the small frozen cage between your fingers and smashed fiercely against the concrete. 

Must have been a strepitous impact, an overwhelming sound... but it was not. The moment before the piece reached the pavement something unimaginable happened... an invisible force threw it back but now in small pieces, like an energy field attempting to prevent the disaster to happen. My frozen heart did not break against the floor but it did against the nothing... 

It was lived in slow motion as if an endless broadcast of an unhappy ending.

You said you knew you had broken my heart, but you do not. You have no idea what breaking a heart means, it goes beyond any you've ever felt or imagined. 

What a broken heart is could only be understood by those who have felt in the flesh. They may have only the hands blood-stained from holding their chest too tight but their wounds are all over their bodies... inside out, from head to toe. 

 So please don't you dare to say you know what you've done. Damages are countless.

Es inquietantemente aterrador que no hay ningún sonido cuando un corazón se rompe. Los accidentes de coche terminan con un estruendo, las caídas terminan con un ruido sordo y hasta la escritura hace el sonido de un lápiz contra el papel. Pero el sonido de un corazón roto es completamente silencioso. Casi como si nadie, ni siquiera el universo mismo, pudiera crear un sonido para tal devastación. Casi como si el silencio fuera la única forma en que el universo podría presentar su respeto al sonido de un corazón cayendo a pedazos.

Fue exactamente así ... silencio puro. El dolor indescriptible de un corazón que se congela, que se ve obligado a dejar de latir, hecho prisionero en una pequeña jaula helada.

Mi corazón estaba encerrado en una prisión transparente desde donde podía ver girar el mundo, podía presenciar ser dejado sólo, ser abandonado...

Pareció que me congelaste y te alejaste, pero no lo hiciste. Regresaste, tomaste la pequeña jaula congelada entre tus dedos y la estrellaste ferozmente contra el concreto.

Debió haber sido un impacto estrepitoso, un sonido abrumador ... pero no lo fue. El momento antes de que la pieza alcanzara el pavimento sucedió algo inimaginable, una fuerza invisible la arrojó de vuelta pero ahora en pedazos pequeños, como un campo de energía que intenta evitar que ocurra el desastre. Mi corazón helado no se rompió contra el suelo pero sí contra la nada ...

Se vivió en cámara lenta como una transmisión interminable de un final infeliz.

Dijiste que sabías que me habías roto el corazón, pero no es así. No tienes idea de lo que significa romper un corazón, va más allá de lo que hayas sentido o imaginado.

Lo que es un corazón roto, sólo lo pueden entender aquellos que lo han sentido en carne y hueso. Puede que solo tengan las manos manchadas de sangre, pero sus heridas están por todo el cuerpo ... de adentro hacia afuera, de la cabeza a los pies.

Así que, por favor, no te atrevas a decir que sabes lo que has hecho. Los daños son incontables.
