A Dementor was a gliding, wraithlike Dark creature, widely considered to be one of the foulest to inhabit the wizarding world. Dementors fed on human happiness and thus generated feelings of depression and despair in any person in close proximity to them. They could also consume a person's soul, leaving their victims in a permanent vegetative state, and thus were often referred to as "soul-sucking fiends", rendering a person an "empty-shell"

Un dementor... es lo que eres.  Una sombra gigante que se cierne sobre cielo, sigilosa, medida, pero imponente.  Tu larga túnica cae con pesadez hacia el mundo y lo nubla todo. 

Vienes y vas, sigues volviendo. Llegas y me arrebatas el haz de luz que apenas pretende aparecer.

Es inútil escapar, hay un hilo invisible que te une a mí, que te sigue atrayendo. Me encuentras siempre, puedo ver tu sonrisa complacida dibujarse entre las sombras. Te abalanzas sobre mí y lo tomas todo, parece que cada vez que vuelves me dejas vacía, pero no es así. Somehow I quit. I quit leaking my wounds any longer with the hope that eventually they'll disappear... 

I embraced the idea of belonging together, under despicable circumstances in a grey scenario.

I met you... in the night light, in the middle of a quiet city. You held me tight just like that very same evening, took my hand and we race through to live one last fantasy. 

It was, it was everything I hoped it will be and more. We made love, we danced, we sang, we kissed, we walked the city before sunrise... we did it all. 

It broke my heart harder if that was even possible. But, at the same time, it was like breathing again... 

I would relive it over and over and I will, 'till my aching heart and my cracked soul resist.

Reminiscencia (Estados Unidos, 2021)

He tomado una decisión. Me sumergiré en ese tanque de vez en cuando. 

De alguna forma, me dí por vencida. Renuncié a lamer mis heridas por más tiempo con la esperanza de que algún día pudieran desaparecer. 

Abracé la idea de que nos pertenecemos, bajo cirunstancias detestables, en un escenario gris.

Te ví... a  la luz de la noche, a mitad de una ciudad en silencio. Me abrazaste fuerte justo como esa misma noche, tomaste mi mano y corrimos a vivir una última fantasía.

Lo fue, fué todo lo que esperaba que fuera y más. Hicimos el amor, bailamos, cantamos como locos y caminamos por la ciudad antes del amanecer... lo hicimos todo. 

Rompió aún más mi corazón, si es que eso fuera posible. Pero al mismo tiempo, fue como volver a respirar...

Podría revivirlo todo una y otra vez y lo haré. Hasta que mi corazón lastimado y mi alma quebrada resistan. 

Te haré saber el momento en que el juego llegue a su fin. 

Durará? No lo hará? No podría saberlo, pero por ahora...

It's been a year, a year and a half and I have no strenght left. 

  This letter have been written with the one and only purpose of stablishing what an imbecile you are. 

I've been a believer this whole time but even my faith was finite and you managed to make it disappear.

I've been blind but I can see it now. You are a mediocre and a coward.  If only you had brought a slice of the drive and determination, you have at work... but instead you just settled.

You did not even try, your fear of failure kept you safe but rolling in your shit. You chose blackmail, threat and lies for your life... what kind of lame message for your girls is that. 

Hopefully, the discomfort of what could have been don't sneak below your doors and fill the air around you, because it will be too late. 

Life is not fare and let’s hope that the consequences of your poor judgement don't play against you, cuz if so, you don't have a chance. 

One bad decision after another and we jump at the conclusion that this is simply who you are. No matter how hard I try to take you out of that role play, you are an imbecile.

Esta carta ha sido escrita con el único propósito de demostrar lo imbécil que eres.

He sido una creyente todo este tiempo, pero incluso mi fe era finita y te las arreglaste para hacerla desaparecer.

Cada vez que insisto en creer en ti, tú insistes en ser un idiota ... cada oportunidad que te he dado simplemente la has desechado. 

Había estado ciega pero ahora puedo verlo.  Eres un mediocre y un cobarde.  Si tan sólo hubieras mostrado un poco del impulso y la determinación que muestras en otras cosas... pero en cambio te has conformado.

 Ni siquiera lo intentaste, tu miedo al fracaso te mantuvo a salvo, pero revolcándote en la misma mierda. Elegiste el chantaje, la amenaza y la mentira para tu vida ... qué clase de mensaje mediocre es ése para tus niñas. 

 Con suerte, la incomoda duda de lo que podría haber sido no se cuele por debajo de tu puerta y llene el aire a tu alrededor, porque será un fantasma insoportable y peor aún... demasiado tarde.

 La vida no es justa, así que contemos con que las consecuencias de tu mal juicio no jueguen en tu contra, porque si es así, no tienes ninguna posibilidad.

 Después de ver todo en retrospectiva, llegamos a la conclusión de que esto es simplemente lo que eres, porque no importa cuánto trate de sacarte de ese papel, eres un imbécil.

My heart is broken cuz you passed away. 

You did not depart today, nor yesterday. You have been gone for months and I just realized, I've been loving a corpse. The man I fell madly for, is lying down there inert. 

Those non-brown eyes won't open anymore for me, all I had had these past few months, were sporadic spasms coming from a terminal patient, from a body that once resisted to die. 

All I have now is a corpse decomposing. 

People have granted me pity glances, horror looks while I hold tight a fetid dead body. Everyone could smell the unbearable stench and know from where was it coming, everyone but me. 

But I did finally wake up, your rottenness awoke me. The threads of the odor of your putrid body lingered through my nose filling my senses taking me out of my doze. 

I found myself attached to such corpse whose flesh had taken a black tone, unthinkable to touch, and  rounded by a thick dark liquid that expelled the most unbearable sting.  

The scene expelled me away like an energy field. Nauseous and scared I crawled away, but I  could not stop staring. Couldn't believe that it was you... what was left of you. What had happened? 

I blacked out. 

Next thing I knew I was at the cemetery, alone. It was me, your coffin and the bare soil... but no tears this time. I was buring you for good but my heart had been emptied, I just looked while you sank deep down and deep breathed. 

This is your memorial. You truly deserve to be honored, for what you were, for what you did for what you meant and will always mean. 

I forever will cherish the man I felt deeply for, the way he looked at me, the way he sang at me, how we used to dance in the middle of the night and to kiss as if our time was  about to run out. I will miss the touch of your skin and the sense you gave me of being alive, the thirst you woke up in me as if I was truly capable of conquer it all. 

I am going to miss you love... but  forever will remember how hard you changed my life, how you put my world upside down and took me to where I stand now, you'll have credit for the woman today I am. 

I promise to look out for the ghosts that are staring to show, claiming be you, as if you could be replaced... there is an Ent that hunts me every once in a while but I now that is simply not you cuz you passed away. 

The man I have loved insanely for the past 3 years is dead, I buried him myself.

Estás muerto.

Mi corazón está roto porque has fallecido.

No partiste hoy ni ayer.  Hace meses que te fuiste y me acabo de dar cuenta, he estado amando un cadáver.  El hombre del que me enamoré locamente, está tirado en el piso inerte.

Esos ojos que no son cafés, no se abrirán más para mí, todo lo que había tenido estos últimos meses, eran espasmos esporádicos provenientes de un paciente terminal, de un cuerpo que resistía a morir.

 Todo lo que tengo ahora es un cadáver en descomposición.

 La gente me ha mirado con lástima, miradas de horror mientras me aferro con fuerza a un fétido cadáver.  Todos podían oler el hedor insoportable y saber de dónde provenía, todos menos yo.

Pero finalmente desperté, tu podredumbre me despertó. Los hilos del olor de tu cuerpo putrefacto se adentraron en mi nariz llenando mis sentidos y sacándome del sopor.

 Me encontré abrazada a tal cuerpo sin vida cuya carne había tomado un tono negruzco, impensable de tocar, rodeado por un líquido espeso y oscuro que despedía el hedor más insoportable.

 La escena me sacó de ahí como de un campo de energía.  Nauseabunda y asustada me arrastré lejos, pero no podía dejar de mirar.  No podía creer que eras tú ... lo que quedaba de ti.  ¿Qué había pasado?

 Me desmayé.

 Lo siguiente que supe fue que me encontraba en el cementerio, sola.  Estaba yo, tu ataúd y el suelo desnudo ... pero esta vez ninguna lágrima.  Te estaba sepultando para siempre, pero mi corazón ya estaba vacío, solo miré mientras te hundían en la tierra y suspiré profundamente.

 Éste es tu memorial.  Realmente mereces ser honrado, por lo que fuiste, por lo que hiciste por lo que significaste y siempre significarás.

Atesoraré para siempre al hombre del que me enamoré tan intensamente, la forma en que me miraba, la forma en que me cantaba, en que solíamos bailar en mitad de la noche y besarnos como si nuestro tiempo estuviera a punto de terminar.  Extrañaré el roce de su piel y la sensación de estar viva que me dió, la sed que despertó, como si fuera capaz de conquistarlo todo.

 Te extrañaré amor ... recordaré por siempre lo mucho que me cambiaste la vida, cómo pusiste mi mundo de cabeza y me llevaste a donde estoy ahora, tienes crédito por la mujer que soy hoy.

Prometo cuidarme de los fantasmas que están al acecho... que se hacen pasar por ti, como si pudieras ser reemplazado. Hay un ente que aparece de vez en cuando, que me recuerda lo mucho que deseaba nuestra vida juntos...  pero ahora estoy segura que no podrías ser tú porque ya te has ido.

 El hombre al que he amado locamente por los últimos 3 años... está muerto, yo misma lo sepulté.

I spent 2 years crying, grieving his absence, rolling on guilt... it was pointless. I put my life on hold, keeping me of making permanent decisions, trusting deep down that eventually everything would "take its place". It did not. 

It is simple, life is not like the movies.  People do not get their happy endings, life is not a single drama that can be summarized in 90 minutes.

What a terrible story  filled with pain, lies, betrayal, guilt, remorse, deceive, anger and despice. 

Who would've thought? After being madly inlove, crazy about each other we'll simply lost it all. 

You said you'd wish your girls to feel and to know what being dilusionaly happy is, to have a love that makes them levitate... to have what is told in the movies and that we once had.  

I hope your girls do, I wish them to  have it and to keep it. I hope they never feel the deep hurt of a broken heart, that never get their hopes ripped up and their future shattered. 

I truly hope their never be as destroyed and broken as I was, as I am...  for them and for you. 

I wish you never feel as powerless and desperate  for being unable to save them the sorrow of loneliness, as weak as my parents once felt and still do.  May the pain they have felt through my own one, never returns to you. 

I saw our future, I saw our house, I saw our children, I saw our stunning life.  But I was delusional, I still am.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.

Exhausting... that was how you described our relationship through 2019. Speeding up from town to town to stop me from giving up on us...running after me. 

2020 was different. Now you were running away from me. 

2021 You finally got yourself out of this for good by simply going far away. 

And now I see, you were right. It's been exhausting. Loving you has taken more than I was aware of. 

Following your steps, decoding your thoughts, unburying our future,  soothing my achen soul, putting my life on hold, waiting for you to be ready, waiting for forever...

You are right, it was exhausting.

I was ready to take your hand and jump together once more, to challenge the world, to go against the odds, to be the crazy ones defying it all, I was ready to do it all again...

 I never stopped believing,  you did.

I could have managed to fight the world if I had you by my side. But I did not, I don't.

Desgastante ... así fue como describiste nuestra relación a lo largo de 2019. Conduciendo como un loco de una ciudad a otra para evitar que me rindiera, que renunciara a nosotros ... porque sin dudar ibas corriendo detrás de mí.

 2020 Fué diferente.  Ahora estabas huyendo de mí.

 2021 Finalmente te libraste de todo esto yendo lejos muy lejos.

 Y ahora veo que tenías razón.  Fue agotador.  Amarte me ha costado más de lo que había sido consciente. 

Siguiendote los pasos, decodificando tus pensamientos, desenterrando nuestro futuro, calmando mi alma herida, poniendo mi vida en pausa, esperando que estuvieras listo, esperando para siempre ...

Tienes razón, ha sido agotador.

It is eerily terrifying that there is no sound when a heart breaks. Car accidents end with a bang, falling ends with a thud even writing makes the scratching sound of pencil against paper. But the sound of a heart breaking is completely silent. Almost as though no one, not even the universe itself could create a sound for such devastation. Almost as though silence is the only way the universe could pay its respect to the sound of a heart falling apart.

It was exactly like that... bare silence. The indescribable pain of a heart getting frozen, being forced to stop beating, made a prisoner in a small cold cage.

My heart was held in a transparent prison from where could see the world revolve around, could witness being left alone, being abandoned...  

You seemed to just have frozen me and walked away but you did not. You came back, took the small frozen cage between your fingers and smashed fiercely against the concrete. 

Must have been a strepitous impact, an overwhelming sound... but it was not. The moment before the piece reached the pavement something unimaginable happened... an invisible force threw it back but now in small pieces, like an energy field attempting to prevent the disaster to happen. My frozen heart did not break against the floor but it did against the nothing... 

It was lived in slow motion as if an endless broadcast of an unhappy ending.

You said you knew you had broken my heart, but you do not. You have no idea what breaking a heart means, it goes beyond any you've ever felt or imagined. 

What a broken heart is could only be understood by those who have felt in the flesh. They may have only the hands blood-stained from holding their chest too tight but their wounds are all over their bodies... inside out, from head to toe. 

 So please don't you dare to say you know what you've done. Damages are countless.

Es inquietantemente aterrador que no hay ningún sonido cuando un corazón se rompe. Los accidentes de coche terminan con un estruendo, las caídas terminan con un ruido sordo y hasta la escritura hace el sonido de un lápiz contra el papel. Pero el sonido de un corazón roto es completamente silencioso. Casi como si nadie, ni siquiera el universo mismo, pudiera crear un sonido para tal devastación. Casi como si el silencio fuera la única forma en que el universo podría presentar su respeto al sonido de un corazón cayendo a pedazos.

Fue exactamente así ... silencio puro. El dolor indescriptible de un corazón que se congela, que se ve obligado a dejar de latir, hecho prisionero en una pequeña jaula helada.

Mi corazón estaba encerrado en una prisión transparente desde donde podía ver girar el mundo, podía presenciar ser dejado sólo, ser abandonado...

Pareció que me congelaste y te alejaste, pero no lo hiciste. Regresaste, tomaste la pequeña jaula congelada entre tus dedos y la estrellaste ferozmente contra el concreto.

Debió haber sido un impacto estrepitoso, un sonido abrumador ... pero no lo fue. El momento antes de que la pieza alcanzara el pavimento sucedió algo inimaginable, una fuerza invisible la arrojó de vuelta pero ahora en pedazos pequeños, como un campo de energía que intenta evitar que ocurra el desastre. Mi corazón helado no se rompió contra el suelo pero sí contra la nada ...

Se vivió en cámara lenta como una transmisión interminable de un final infeliz.

Dijiste que sabías que me habías roto el corazón, pero no es así. No tienes idea de lo que significa romper un corazón, va más allá de lo que hayas sentido o imaginado.

Lo que es un corazón roto, sólo lo pueden entender aquellos que lo han sentido en carne y hueso. Puede que solo tengan las manos manchadas de sangre, pero sus heridas están por todo el cuerpo ... de adentro hacia afuera, de la cabeza a los pies.

Así que, por favor, no te atrevas a decir que sabes lo que has hecho. Los daños son incontables.

You had no right to judge me, but that did not stop you. You raised your face and looked at me with despise.

In return for my bare honesty, you gave me judgment and nothing more. I now know I did not make a mistake cause even with an aking heart, truth is what keeps our souls transparent. 

Before that I had taken a decision: you did not deserve to have a thing on me,  not a single leverage.  After what you have done I will let you drown in guilt, somehow I had the feeling that you would use that against me, no matter what you simply will... and you did.

I wonder if we own the world the truth or only to ourselves if the truth must be earned or simply be given... 

What I do can say for sure is that you should never apologize for attempting to sore your heart, for getting lost in the way of doing it, for failing but more than anything you should never feel embarrassed for your war wounds. 

We are all entitled to our pain, to our grief and the simple fact of rising after being deeply hurt gives us more than enough right to go out the street and show off our scars. 

I will never apologize to you once again, not for being lost, not for being in pain, not for trying to seek a safe place, not for trying to breathe... not at all.

 No tenías derecho a juzgarme, pero eso no te detuvo.  Levantaste la cara y me miraste con desprecio.

 A cambio de mi simple honestidad no me diste más que crítica.  Ahora sé que no cometí un error porque incluso con un corazón herido, la verdad es lo que mantiene nuestras almas transparentes.

 Antes de eso, había tomado una decisión: no merecías tener nada en mi contra, ni una sola ventaja.  Después de lo que habias hecho, dejaría que te ahogaras en la culpa, de alguna manera tuve la sensación de que lo usarías en mi contra sin importar qué ... y lo hiciste.

 Me pregunto si le debemos al mundo la verdad o solo a nosotros mismos, si la verdad debe ganarse o simplemente entregarse ...

 Lo que puedo decir con certeza es que nunca debes disculparte por intentar curarte el corazón, por perderte en el camino de hacerlo, por fallar, pero más que nada nunca debes sentirte avergonzado por tus heridas de guerra.

 Todos tenemos derecho a nuestro dolor, a nuestro duelo y el simple hecho de levantarnos después de haber sido profundamente heridos, nos da más que suficiente derecho a salir a la calle y lucir nuestras cicatrices.

 Es así que lo he entendido. Nunca más te pediré disculpas, ni por  haberme perdido, ni por sentir dolor, ni por intentar buscar un lugar seguro, ni por intentar respirar ...  no lo haré en absoluto.

Not bold nor underlined but in capital letters, that is how 'words' must be written. 

Words can mean everything or nothing at all... they may be charged with power or be absolutely meaningless. 

Is all matter of focus. Matter of purpose... 

Just tell me what do you want to do today? How do you want to feel? Name it and I'll tell you where to look, what to read, exactly what to remember, what to hold onto... 

We can say that words drive the world but at the same time that with no actual facts, words are a waste of time... 

Today I decide to stick to the plan and for my own sake reduce promises and love words to just words but at the same time to underline several times those that remind me where my place is. This couple of words are charged with despise and will keep my dignity right where it belongs...

Words might condemn me but will save me.

Las palabras pueden significar todo o nada en absoluto ... pueden estar cargadas de poder o carecer absolutamente de sentido.

Todo es cuestión de enfoque. Cuestión de propósito ...

¿Solo dime qué quieres hacer hoy? ¿Cómo te quieres sentir? Nómbralo y te diré dónde buscar, qué leer, qué recordar exactamente, a qué aferrarte ...

Podemos decir que las palabras mueve el mundo pero al mismo tiempo que sin hechos reales, son una pérdida de tiempo ...

Hoy decido ceñirme al plan y por mi propio bien reducir las promesas y las palabras de amor a solo palabras pero al mismo tiempo subrayar varias veces aquellas que me recuerdan dónde está mi lugar. Este par de palabras están cargadas de desprecio y mantendrán mi dignidad justo donde pertenece ...

Las palabras podrían condenarme, pero me salvarán.

 Troubles, bad news that is what you are, more drama than I can take on. 

You are bad news and as close as I get to you and to this attempt, more cautious I understand I must be. 

Somehow you get to find new ways to hurt me further, deeper, stronger... 

I remember I must seek for the meaning, not the facts, but both hurt the same. 

You came to me, you came back and simply talked me into this, I did not resist. It was how it began, how it went through all these years, I just followed you. 

You looked me in the eyes, held my hand and we started the climb once again... 

I've never wished it more, never wanted it more, never believed in us more and although the mountain seemed colossal I could not wait to start the journey with you. 

It was hard, painful, and challenging to get there but we reached the top. I cried at the breathtaking view and my legs crumbled a little, my heart was full.  

I knew it was just the beginning... We would walk down and up again over and over but for now, to have gotten there was our first accomplishment.

We stood there, holding hands and I felt safe, confident ... but then you released your fingers out of mine and out of nowhere took me by the shoulders to have me face to face, then kissed me in the forehead to violently threw me into the void.

I fought within the air and instinctively got to grab myself from the edge of the cliff. My scared body was pending right below your feet, I raised my eyes seeking for compassion, believing you still could save me... but you did not. Your rough boots trampled my thin fingers against the rock, I stood the pain as long as I could until it was unbearable, and then with bleeding hands and broken inside, I finally closed my eyes and let go. 

I was ready to feel the cold air cross my back followed by the imminent ending but instead, a few meters below my lose body hit with suddenness, an unexpected pain reached every inch of my body. 

I was scared, lost and confused but I got the message: this had not over. 

I was right, the vastness that stretched till the edge of the horizon... was frightening, being left there by myself was. 

The night came and it felt like would never leave, I just laid there completely numb, sedated by the pain, feeling with clarity how it invaded my whole self. The tears came with no notice and traveled slowly to my temples to wet my hair... 

I wouldn't be able to say if it was because the sun never came or if my eyes were closed and I passed out but it felt like a 40 hours night. I remember exactly what made me get up and dare to look at the horizon with actual hope. While I  lay there a couple rocks went rolling over me, and when I raised my head to see from where were they coming..  there you were, leaning your body over the edge... staring at me. 

Your deep eyes crossed mine, an unexpressive look with no remorse and it was when I knew it. I wouldn't stay there to die or to be killed, neither will I resign to be saved, not this time. What you had taught after one more act of selfishness and condescence was that I must be my own savior, my very own hero. And just like that I stood up, looked at the vast landscape, took a deep breath, stepped backward a couple meters to take impulse, my bare feet ran over the cold rock and I threw myself into the void...

Everything had changed, I was not expecting to hit rock bottom to cease the pain. I have been keeping it secret for so many years that almost felt unreal but every now and then, a particular itch appeared on my back to remind me that there they were... my very own wings.  

So, I just needed to release myself from every leash, lose the coverups, and like that, naked, completely exposed, I was ready to spread my wings and touch the sky. Thereby, instead of closing my eyes and expect the fatal ending, I kept them wide open to witness my own feat, the moment my feathers will graze the floor before going back up to dance on the wind... 

I had gained my freedom back. Now, I am where I belong. 

The Beast had thrown me into the void and instead of falling into my dead, I learned to fly.

Viniste a mí, regresaste y simplemente me convenciste de esto, no me resistí.  Fue así como comenzó, como había sucedido todos estos años, sólo te seguí.

 Me miraste a los ojos, me tomaste de la mano y comenzamos a subir una vez más ...

 Nunca lo deseé más, nunca lo quise más, nunca creí más en nosotros y aunque la montaña parecía colosal no veía la hora de emprender el viaje contigo.

 Fue difícil, doloroso y desafiante llegar allí, pero alcanzamos la cima.  Lloré ante la impresionante vista, mis piernas temblaron un poco, pero mi corazón estaba lleno.

Sabía que era sólo el comienzo ... Bajaríamos y subiríamos colinas una y otra vez, pero por ahora, haber llegado allí era nuestro primer logro.

Nos quedamos ahí, tomados de la mano y me sentí segura, confiada ... pero entonces soltaste tus dedos de los míos y de la nada me tomaste de los hombros para ponerme frente a ti, me besaste en la frente y violentamente me arrojaste al vacío. Luché en el aire e instintivamente logré agarrarme del borde del acantilado.  Mi cuerpo asustado pendía justo debajo de tus pies, levanté los ojos buscando compasión, creyendo que aún podrías salvarme ... pero no lo hiciste.  Tus bruscas botas  pisotearon mis delgados dedos contra la roca, resistí el dolor lo más que pude hasta que fue insoportable y así con las manos sangrando y rota por dentro, finalmente cerré los ojos y me solté.

Estaba lista para sentir el aire frío atravesar mi espalda seguido por el inminente final pero en lugar de eso, unos metros debajo mi cuerpo perdido azotó contra la roca y un dolor inesperado me invadió todo el cuerpo.

Estaba asustada, perdida y confundida, pero entendí el mensaje: esto no había terminado.

Tenía razón, la inmensidad que se extendía hasta el borde del horizonte ... era aterradora, quedarme allí sola lo era.

Llegó la noche y sentí que nunca terminaría, me quedé así completamente entumecida, sintiendo con precisión el dolor invadir todo mi ser.  Las lágrimas llegaron sin previo aviso y viajaron lentamente por mis sienes hasta humedecer mi cabello ...

No podría decir si el sol nunca salió, si mis ojos permanecieron cerrados o si perdí el conocimiento, pero se sintió como una noche de 40 horas, hasta que algo me hizo levantarme. Lo recuerdo claramente porque me hizo atreverme a mirar el horizonte con verdadera esperanza.  Mientras yacía allí, un par de rocas rodaron sobre mí, y cuando levanté la cabeza para ver de dónde venían ... allí estabas, inclinando tu cuerpo sobre el borde ... mirándome fijamente. 

Tus ojos profundos atravesaron los míos pero era una mirada inexpresiva, sin remordimientos y fue cuando lo supe.  No me quedaría ahí para morir o ser asesinada, ni me resignaría a que alguien me salvara, esta vez no.  Lo que me habías enseñado después de un acto más de egoísmo y condescencia era que debía ser mi propia salvadora, mi propia heroína. 

Y así me levanté, miré el vasto paisaje, respiré profundo, retrocedí un par de metros para tomar impulso, mis pies desnudos corrieron sobre la fría roca y me arrojaron al vacío ...

 Todo había cambiado, no esperaba tocar fondo para detener el dolor.  Lo había mantenido en secreto durante tantos años que casi se sentía irreal, pero de vez en cuando una picazón particular aparecía en mi espalda para recordarme que allí estaban ... mis propias alas.

Tan sólo necesitaba liberarme de todas las ataduras, deshacerme de lo que me cubría y así, desnuda, completamente expuesta, estaba lista para extender mis alas y tocar el cielo.  De ese modo, en lugar de cerrar los ojos y esperar el final fatal, los mantuve completamente abiertos para ser testigo de mi propia hazaña, el momento en que mis plumas rozaran el suelo antes de volver a subir para bailar en el viento ...

 Había recuperado mi libertad.  Ahora estoy donde pertenezco.

 La Bestia me había arrojado al vacío pero en lugar de caer a mi muerte, aprendí a volar.

It's just what we know ...

We had reached the very final page of our book and I knew what I had to do before throwing it to the fireplace. The final goodbye.  

And then it hit me... there wouldn't be such a thing. 

Through this almost 3 years I have said it all, done it all. After so many love and goodbye letter written to you I simply realized that I had nothing else left...

At this point, I have proven myself to you in more ways than I should have, so this time, this final once all I can think of is what you said yourself to me so many times...

"No era necesario".

 Hemos estado aquí antes

 Es lo único que conocemos ...

Habíamos llegado a la última página de nuestro libro y sabía lo que tenía que hacer antes de tirarlo a la chimenea.  El adiós definitivo.

Entonces me di cuenta ... no habría tal cosa.

A lo largo de estos casi 3 años lo he dicho todo, lo he hecho todo.  Después de tantas cartas de amor y despedida escritas para ti, simplemente me di cuenta de que no me quedaba nada más ...

En este punto, te he demostrado lo que valgo en más formas de las que debería haberlo hecho, así que esta vez, esta última vez, todo lo que puedo pensar es lo que tú mismo me dijiste tantas veces ...

 "No era necesario".

I woke up in the middle of the night, my heart was racing, my stomach hurt, and even through darkness, I could see my watery eyes staring at the mirror.

I had a dream about you...

You came for me, rang the bell and when I opened the door you hold me tight into your arms, then grabbed my belongings to take me home with you... we hold hands while you drove, we broke the news at your mom over the phone, and all the way long I looked through the window as a child seeking for our place. 

In my dream you pulled over a beautiful street and handed me over a brand new key set to open the fence... then I walked into the dreamy house that we once planned together, that you had built for us. I saw you in every corner, I could swear it was love what I saw and what made me burst into tears ...

It was a nice dream till then. Our first night together went as planned, we had your friends over for dinner and even planned a getaway with them. You called me love over and over and finally, we had the night we had been expecting for so long...

I dreamed about you and it felt so real but soon enough mist sneaked into our house and out of nowhere the dream had vanished. Now I was in a nightmare. 

It began slowly, quietly but would end with cruelty all you have done and said till ten was reduced to a meaningless misunderstanding. 

As every time before this would be because of you. You simply had a change of heart and the same way a week before you wanted me in your life now you wanted me out. Nothing else mattered, you took my love, my hopes, and dreams and stepped over them. 

You had played me... you show me how our life could be like how we could build together all we once dreamed of and just when my heart burst of joy you took everything away. 

 The "you" I had treasured and love for years was goné and the Beast had returned. I never saw it coming never anticipated, completely off guard I was the perfect prey.

With no notice, he was clinging his claws over my weak body. 

This Beast was different, did not waited till down to attack, he did not need to hide in the shadows he acted at the first ray of light. 

He came after me every morning for 5 days long and all I did was grapple to him while he sank his sharp teeth in my skin. As if my slender body could stop the relentless fury of the beast.  

I looked into his eyes for compassion, for love but this time there was nothing else left.

He saw my corpse lay on the floor and just walked away. 

I had a nightmare about a Beast who deceive me for the simple pleasure to see me bleed, a heartless animal who took advantage of my thirst to drown me in poison. But it was a nightmare... just that. 

I woke up here, in this dark and empty room, and meanwhile, my hands are still shaking I know I am safe, far enough to keep you from hurting me ever again. 

I have nothing to be afraid of.

It was just a nightmare...

Me desperté a mitad de la noche, me latía el corazón con fuerza, me dolía el estómago e incluso en la oscuridad podía ver las lágrimas en mis ojos mirando a través del espejo.

Había soñado contigo...

Viniste a buscarme, tocaste el timbre y cuando abrí la puerta me abrazaste con fuerza, luego tomaste mis pertenencias para llevarme a casa contigo ... nos tomamos de la mano mientras conducías, le dimos la noticia a tu mamá en el teléfono y durante todo el camino no dejé de mirar por la ventana como un niño, buscando nuestra casa.

En mi sueño, te detuviste en una hermosa calle y me entregaste un juego de llaves nuevas para abrir la cerca ... luego entré en la casa de ensueño que una vez planeamos juntos, que tú habías construido para nosotros. Te vi en cada rincón, podría jurar que fue amor lo que vi y lo que me hizo romper en llanto ...

Era un lindo sueño hasta entonces. Nuestra primera noche juntos salió según lo esperado, invitamos a cenar a tus amigos e incluso planeamos un viaje con ellos. Me llamaste amor una y otra vez y finalmente tuvimos la noche que habíamos estado esperando durante tanto tiempo ...

Soñé contigo y se sintió tan real, pero pronto la niebla se coló en nuestra casa y de la nada el sueño se había desvanecido. Ahora estaba en una pesadilla.

Comenzó lentamente, sigilosamente, pero terminaría cruelmente todo lo que había hecho y dicho hasta entonces se redujo a un malentendido sin sentido.

Como siempre, esto sería gracias a ti.  Simplemente cambiaste de opinión, tu corazón cambió y de la misma manera como una semana antes me querías en tu vida ahora me querías fuera.  Nada más importaba, tomaste mi amor, mis ilusiones y sueños y los pisoteaste.

Habías jugado conmigo, me habías engañado... me mostraste cómo podría ser nuestra nueva vida, cómo podríamos construir juntos todo lo que alguna vez soñamos y justo cuando mi corazón estallaba de felicidad, me lo arrebataste todo.

El "Tú" que había atesorado y amado por años se había ido y la Bestia había regresado.  Nunca lo vi venir, nunca lo anticipé, completamente desprevenida, era la presa perfecta.

Sin aviso alguno, estaba clavando sus garras sobre mi débil cuerpo. Pero ésta Bestia era diferente, no esperó hasta el anochecer para atacar, no necesitaba esconderse en las sombras, actuaba al primer rayo de luz.

 Y así vino a por mí cada mañana durante 5 días y todo lo que hice fue aferrarme a él mientras él hundía sus afilados dientes en mi piel.  Ilusa, como si mi débil cuerpo pudiera detener la implacable furia de una bestia.

 Lo miré a los ojos en busca de compasión, de amor, pero esta vez no quedaba nada más.

Vió mi cadáver yacer en el suelo y simplemente me abandonó. 

Tuve una pesadilla con una Bestia que me engañó por el simple placer de verme sangrar, un animal desalmado que se aprovechó de mi sed para ahogarme en veneno. 

Pero fue una pesadilla ... sólo eso.

He despertado aquí, en esta habitación oscura y vacía y aunque mis manos todavía están temblando, sé que estoy a salvo, lo suficientemente lejos para evitar que me lastimes de nuevo.

 No tengo nada que temer.

 Fue sólo una pesadilla ...

Love is an ingredient. Even when exists is not enough to stay but when is missing is more than enough to go... to run away. It seems like we are only looking for reasons to take off..."Cause loving you is not enough"... "Cause I don't love you anymore". 

Love is an ingredient. 

You can actually taste it, that was my final proof.

El amor es un ingrediente.  Incluso cuando existe no es suficiente para quedarse pero cuando falta es más que suficiente para irse... para escapar.  Parece que solo estamos buscando razones para huir ... "Porque amarte no es suficiente" ... "Porque ya no te amo".

 El amor es un ingrediente.

 Realmente puedes probarlo, esa fue mi prueba final.
